Causeway Foot is an ideal base for touring the Lake District as it is within easy reach of all the lakes and fells. Keswick is only 2 mile away where you can enjoy a wide variety of activities and sports. These include guided walks and rambles, cycle and mountain bike hire, paragliding, windsurfing, balloon flights, fishing, golfing, tennis, boat hire and lake cruises. There is a leisure pool at Keswick and swimming pools at Penrith and Greystoke.

A variety of pubs and cafes offer plenty of choice for eating out. Museums, theatre or cinema, historic houses, beautiful gardens and castles are also all within the surrounding area. Of course if you prefer you can simply take to the fells and enjoy what must be some of the most beautiful scenery in England.

How to find us :
From junction 36 on the M6 take the A590/ A591 westbound through Windermere and Grasmere towards Keswick. We are about 2 miles before Keswick on the left opposite a lay-by and phone box.
From junction 40 on the M6 take the A66 westbound towards Keswick. Leave the A66 at Keswick and take the A591 towards Windermere. We are about 2 miles along on the right opposite a lay-by and phone box.

If staying in the Camping Barn,please park on the lay-by and cross the road to collect the key from the farmhouse.

The Camping Barn is down a track opposite the farm so please do not drive into the farmyard.
